Did you know that May 14th was World Fair Trade Day? If you missed it, don't worry because we're celebrating all month long with 15% off any Equal Exchange grocery item! It's a great time to stock up on your favorite tea, coffee, chocolate bars, and hot cocoa mixes!

Seattle Wholesale Growers MarketDo you know a florist, retail nursery, decorator, restaurant or other business that wants fresh, northwest flowers? Send them to the Seattle Wholesale Growers' Market! This co-operative of local flower growers is celebrating their grand opening in Georgetown on Wednesday, May 18th from 6am-2pm! They'll be open to anyone with a reseller's permit every Monday from 6am-12pm and Wednesdays and Fridays from 6am-2pm in the Original Rainier Brewery Building Malt House, 5800 Airport Way South, Seattle. Equal Exchange is sponsoring the 2011 Crafting Change: A Fair Trade Tour, and it's coming to Seattle's El Centro de le Raza on Friday, May 20th! Sonia Anahue Uscamayta of the Munay Rumi jewelry cooperative in Lima, Peru and Yody Gladys Moran Trillo from the El Mercurio knitting co-operative in Huancavelica, Peru will be there to share how Fair Trade has impacted their lives. There will be light refreshments from Equal Exchange, as well as opportunities to purchase unique, Fair Trade items. Friday, May 20, 6pm-8pm at El Centro De La Raza, 2524 16th Avenue South, Seattle. This event is FREE.

Happy Birthday EEE
Someone has a Birthday coming up next month! That's right - it's EEE! Join us on Saturday, June 18th for Equal Exchange Espresso Bar's Fifth Birthday Party and Ballard Market Summer BBQ from 11am-4pm. There will be tasty barbequed snacks, live music, a raffle, door prizes and birthday cake, of course!



Seattle Green FestivalThe Seattle Green Festival is coming up this month, May 21-22 at the Qwest Event Center. Stop by to find out about Equal Exchange's awesome fundraising program, check out the Green Market Place, and see EEE's own Alison Booth speak in the Fair Trade Pavilion. The event is open Saturday, May 21 from 10am-7pm and Sunday, May 22 from 11am-6pm at Quest Event Center, 800 Occidental Avenue, Seattle. Admission is $10 per day or $15 for the whole weekend.
