What's New at the Café?  Not sure what to get a certain someone on your gift list this year? We've got all kinds of great gift ideas here at EEE, from hostess gifts to stocking-stuffers and beyond! Just grab a gift card or mix and match any of our eco-friendly and ethically-sourced merchandise with fairly traded goodies. Stuff an organic cotton t-shirt and tote bag in a handmade basket or fill a made-in-the-USA ceramic mug with chocolate minis. Add some local music from the Pancake Party Collective, like The Jesus Rehab's "the highest highs and the lowest lows," and rock the season.
While you're out shopping, stop in and warm up with a festive drink! Gingerbread Lattes are back and Pumpkin Spice Lattes are still in season. Indulge in an Eggnog Latte or a Peppermint White Mocha. Vegans, we've got Soy Nog too! Not in the mood for coffee? Try a Maple-Vanilla or Pumpkin Spice Tea Au Lait, a Coco Chainel, or an Emerald Fog. For your little ones, there's plenty of hot cocoa and caramel cider to go around!  Need a snack to go with it? We are currently featuring more classic Pumpkin Spice treats: seasonal donuts from Mighty-O and muffins from Essential Baking Company. We have also added several new items from Boulangerie Nantaise: their savory Spinach & Parmesan Croissant, lightly sweetened Cream Cheese Danish, and a super-rich Brownie with walnuts. Finally, we now have Sweet & Spicy Peach hand pies with a really great crust from 2GuysPies: get them Thursday through Sunday, or while they last!
Up and Coming:  Please join us on Thursday, December 1 from 5pm to 8pm for the annual Ballard Market Holiday Open House. There will be live music, holiday cheer, and of course, plenty of delicious samples, including limited-edition coffee and lots of chocolate from your favorite baristas! The café will be open late for the event. Join us for the festivities and for food so good, Seattle Magazine listed it in "Best Seattle Restaurants 2011" - for real! Holiday Hours: EEE will be open to serve you with special Holiday Hours throughout the season!
